Pediatric Dentistry/Dentistry for Kids
Drs. Heringhaus General Dentistry takes great pride in our children’s dentistry services. From their very first dental appointment to routine care throughout their childhood, we love caring for our pediatric patients. We also make it a point to teach you, their parents, how to care for your child’s teeth!
Teeth begin erupting between 6-12 months and will continue until 20 teeth are present around the age of 3. It’s very important to monitor your child’s teeth development at an early age. As a kid’s dentist in and around Mansfield, Ohio, we feel it’s important to make a child’s visit enjoyable, so we use simple terms to explain practices and procedures to kids. We understand that a trip to the dentist is less frightening when things have been explained and our patients know what to expect.
After a child’s visit, they are given the opportunity to select a prize from the Prize Room for a small gift, and if they have had a good checkup, they can become a member of the No Cavity Club. They will have their picture taken and be able to hang it on the No Cavity Club board in our waiting room. At each month’s end, one child’s picture is selected at random to be that month’s No Cavity Club prize winner! Implant Restorations

Biteplanes/ Nightguard
This is a hard plastic mouthguard to protect the teeth from clenching and grinding during sleep. This is often used for patients who experience TMJ (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction) symptoms.
